Half-term Haiku

from Herefordshire

Haiku – a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

Rain, rain, go away,

Don’t come back another day,

Rain, rain, GO AWAY!

I love this book. It’s full of fun from beginning to end.

If there’s anybody out there who’s longing for a ‘squelch, squelch in the mud’, this one’s for you:

I should have found some squelchier mud, but I didn’t want to lose my wellies – or my balance…
