A story to say a fond farewell

At the end of last summer, I found myself with an empty nest after all 3 of my children left home. At the beginning of September, 30 wonderful little people joined me in the Robins’ Class of 2021-2022.

I have had the pleasure of their company until today. I will greatly miss their smiles, their news, “Mrs. Warren, I want to tell you something,” and the joy of their spontaneous, “I love you”s.

…and I love you too – all of you.

Yesterday afternoon, my class and I shared this life-affirming book again (it’s been one of our favourites this year):

This is the edited version of the story. (I’m being careful not to break any copyright rules!)

Over the summer holidays, I hope continue sharing stories with anyone who would like to listen in.

If you would like to receive an email notification to let you know I have posted a new video, please type your email in the box below:

Can you help?

I’m curious to know if my comment about the octopus interrupted the flow of the story for your child.

Was this a distraction?

Would you help satisfy my curiosity?

At the end of the page below, please pause the recording and ask your child,

“How did Little Crab know that it was time to go home?”:

Please feel free to record your child’s response in the comments below or drop me an email:
