Yesterday, I was an employed teacher.
Today, I am not.
Yesterday evening, I found out I had failed my online assessment for a customer assistant vacancy at Tesco Ledbury. I’d put a considerable amount of thought (maybe too much) and care into my application. The rejection email was thoughtfully worded – and they used my name:

It’s been a long summer of trawling through job pages, before fine-tuning my CV and supporting statement for each application. Things are looking bleak on the employment front at the moment, but I hope I will be returning to update this post in better days to come…

‘And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’
1 Corinthians 13:13

I hope you will be employed again – and soon – as a teacher, and as much for the children as you. They are missing out on your rich experience and many skills.
❤️ Thank you ❤️
