Bilingual Books from Library Loans

A collection of children’s picture books, borrowed from the libraries of Great Malvern and Hereford, and written in two languages.

In September, I discovered a jewel of a book, written in German and English in Great Malvern’s Amnesty bookshop.

On the same day, I also found an impressive selection of dual-language children’s books in the Great Malvern Library. Hereford Library had more to offer, and over the last few months, I set about recording myself reading the books in English.

I’m creating this blog post, as I thought it might be worthwhile putting the books together in one place. I’ve ordered them alphabetically, according to the language they are written in. My intention is to offer support to families (children and adults), who would like to learn to speak and read English. In the videos, I point to the words to help with tracking and to guide pronunciation.

My plan is to add to the collection as more bilingual books become available.
